saturday

we got some stuff put away and then i worked. as always being alone with the little man give kiko a better understanding of our day to day. it's tough sometimes to keep him happy! he's worth is such a beautiful boy!

still trying to get all unpacked. shew, this is hard work, trying to keep palmer happy and get the house in order. i cannot wait until it is mostly done.

uncle jimmy

i've been kind of lax taking pictures during the move but my friend james came over to "help" unpack and he took some really cute ones of him and palmer. the picture he took of me was seriously horrid so the ones of them will have to do for now. james said he didn't need to work out carrying palmer around for me.

moving day

hi! we're moving today and won't have internet hooked up at the new house until thursday. will update you then!

pull ups

he figured out the funniest thing yesterday. it's like he's doing pull ups. batting the little toys in the bouncy seat is no longer fun, he pulls up and sucks on the bar and the toys. he is sooo strong! and so big! i can't wait to find out how much he weighs at his 6 month appointment on the 2nd! the outfit he's wearing today, 18 months!

i'm out of it

well out of boxes anyway. i went to the grocery store but they didn't have any. kiko's gonna bring some home from work but i feel a little out of it since i can't pack, what to do? put up a new blog!

here's palmer sitting up. he still rolls over but he's getting better and better at it! and the video is him playing with a toy melissa (kiko's sister) brought up. he like it, but it rolls out of his reach. i figure one day he'll just be able to crawl after it.

i know you aren't really supposed to let your baby watch tv but i downloaded some sesame streets in spanish and have been playing a 10 or 15 minute bit for palmer. mom got me a book of spanish for him and i read some to him everyday but my accent isn't the best. i know just hearing spanish should help him learn it later so i hope i'm not doing terrible damage by letting him watch a little sesame street.

the move continues

i had to be over at the new house this morning at 7:30 to get the sectional delivered. palmer was more excited than me, he woke up before the alarm went off. what a doll, help mama get up! i tried to get the blinds hung but needed a regular screw driver vs. the electric one. oh well, got the blinds in palmer's room hung. here are a couple shots. yesterday i ran around like crazy. i went to the habitat for humanity store. it's really cool, donated stuff and all the proceeds go to habitat for humanity. i got a couple blinds there but they don't work! oh well, it was a donation for h.f.h.. got new ones at lowes for the bedrooms thank goodness, just need to get 2 for the bathrooms now.

i also bought a hutch off of craigslist. it was only $25! they loved palmer, they had 2 boys that were maybe 13 and 10. palmer let the mom hold him while me and the dad carried the hutch out. i think he couldn't cry in front of the big boys! we are going to go with the mexican cantina theme for our dining room for now, so we can keep our odd table for now:)

not into it

it's snowing so i got palmer in a chirstmas outfit that didn't fit at christmas. i tried to get some pictures, he really wasn't into it. but you get the idea.

palmer was in such a good mood tonight. he's so fun! kiko keeps calling him Hans, the chubby little german boy.

knome, parade, spoon

so today we tried to walk down to see our friend tyler in the st. patty's day parade. i got out of class early but we didn't really know the route and finally we got down but couldn't actually see the parade because there were too many people. oh well, next year maybe we'll try a little harder. palmer kind of looks like a garden knome all bundled

when we were making lunch i thought i'd see if palmer wanted to bang a pot with a spoon. he was much more interested in eating the spoon and the pot. kiko says he's more of a sword swallower than drummer, as he kept gagging himself, with the big end of the spoon! what a big mouth!up.

these are random shots from today. he was in such a good mood all day. he loves rolling on the exercise ball, especially on his back. he loves hanging upside down! it always makes him giggle giggle giggle.

so i'm planning on winning the powerball tomorrow night, we'll at least i've been dreaming about it. it's quite a fun day dream to have 150000000 after taxes. i think everyone could retire with that! i could fund all sorts of fun stuff too. . .

What a kid I've got. He's a happy, beautiful boy. He's a charming little man... and he weights two-buck and some change. He's breaking our backs (or making them stronger). He's a joy. The sweetest thing a man could hope for as a son. He's reminds me of Abby (and how much I love her... and makes me love her more*
