another busy weekend

i have had to work all weekend but we did squeeze in hanging out for bbq and bowling for our friends tom's 30th! palmer had fun running around like a crazy man!

this morning it was hot and palmer and i played out side. now he's up from his nap and it's been rainy and thundering. dark gray skys! he wants to go out out out but i don't want to fight him in the mud right now!

i mean come on. . . he is so cute sometime! he said tortilla tonight for the first time. it's so surprising when a big ol' word comes out like that.

work has been work, say a prayer i get some amazing therapists who love the work as much as i do and will make my life easy because of it! it's true what they say, good help is hard to find.

here comes summer

sometimes i get worried because palmer is so quiet and i look around the corner and he's just sitting on the couch reading!

things are heating up in denver. we have 90 degree temperatures in the forecast! i don't know if you can tell but the first of the pictures are kind of blurry from finger prints on the camera. i noticed and wiped it off. palmer and i went to wash park yesterday after i ran a few things over to the store. there's a nice little play ground on the back side of the park that's smaller and usually there are younger kiddos playing. he had fun. i don't know what's going on but the last 2 days he's been up around 5 am. yucky! today kitten had been left out side and she got into some sort of scuffle that woke everyone up. she's been hiding under the bed since she came in, hope she's alright!

my friend cadee's friend brea has been watching palmer for me a few times the last couple weeks. she's a photographer too so these black and white one's are from her! beautiful huh? such a bonus we'll get some good pictures from her too! palmer loves her too so it makes me feel better about leaving him!

now my new stores are opened, staffed, growing, i can take a deep breath! I feel so much less stress today it's awesome! i've got to go to yoga tonight. i've been bad about working out this last week with all the interviews and what not i've done!

cuggle

palmer reminded me of e.t. this morning, in kiko's shirt and shoes for some reason.

palmer woke up at 12:30 and he wanted to "cuggle", which i believe is a mix of cuddle and snuggle. kiko has a sore throat so maybe palmer does too. he has been wanting to cuggle all day today too! so cute!

slug in colorado!

i have lived here since 1995 and i have never once seen a slug in colorado and here he is, in our bathroom. i'm from oregon and i grew up with slugs but i never thought they were in colorado. how did this slug get in my house! as i sit here and it's pouring rain, thunder and lightening! which it's been doing almost every day! i love the moisture and would never complain about it for a minute but oh my goodness, a slug in colorado! in my bathroom!
