so i'm about to run palmer over to erica's for the day.  i was thinking about going to yoga but i think i'll just work on all my school stuff so i don't have to worry about it this weekend.  

staying home

so palmer had more diarrhea!  twice this morning so i called kaiser to talk to a call nurse and get some advice and one will call me back in the next 1 to 4 hours, so i figured since i have to go to school tomorrow i would stay home today just in case they thought i should come.  he didn't have any yesterday and i thought we were in the clear but nope.  ugh!  he's getting so skinny!  he has no appetite poor little honey.  oh well. . . that's life!  he doesn't have a fever or anything so i'm sure it's nothing but a whole week of this!  i guess it happens.  

erica said she's going on a field trip tomorrow so i have to have palmer there by 9.  maybe i'll go to a yoga class.

new cameraor

so there was a sony camera on sale at target so i just got it.  it works :)  i actually like the quality of pictures.  i remember when i was looking for a camera this summer consumer reports had sony as the best buy.  probably not the model i got but it was cheap and it does the job.

i think palmer is getting 2 teeth!  the 3rd right on the bottom and the k9 on the right top!  eek!  maybe the pain has been causing his illness!

tomorrow i work at whole foods and kiko is having a 1/2 day to go talk to someone at east high about his student teaching.   

i love wednesdays now

when palmer's ready to eat he HAS to be in his booster now, he loves it.

no school for me and no child care for palmer.  i've got to get over my issues with leaving him.  i know it's good for him, it gets easier etc. . . but getting sick twice it makes me feel even more trepidatious and i know being the sensitive little fellow that he is, he can pick up on it.  i do not look forward to leaving him one bit!   feel free to keep me in your prayers on this, i have some serious anxiety about it going on. . 

i think we are all getting better now though, which is good.

my little camera has gone caput, so i've got to get another one.  i love my big camera but it won't fit in my purse!

sick n snow

so we've had a 4 day weekend of sick.  thursday night palmer was throwing up and having some icky poo.  i asked kiko if he could take a half day because i didn't want to take him to day care when he was sicky but it was my first day of class (the whole reason i put him in day care in the first place).  so i called erica and told her that we'd be staying home and she said, "oh diego was up throwing up too."  

then later erica called back that she just tested positive for strep throat.  i have been having head ache and sore throat for the week so it felt like ah that's why.  so i missed class and went to the dr. just in case i was contagious with strep.  kaiser doesn't do rapid stress tests so we'd have to wait a day.

man palmer was throwing up then kiko started throwing up, ugh it was awful.  turns out we don't have strep but palmer threw up again this morning and kiko was feeling bad enough not to go to work either.  it's snowy and freezing out anyway so it's easy to stay home!  i have to go drop off pay checks and have an interview and i have class tonight.  woo hoo.

it's really hard when the whole house is sick and doesn't feel well. . . but i guess better to get it all out of the way.

i had this cup from my swim suit in a bag of give away stuff and palmer put it on his head and thought he was quite clever!

so we've both started school now so i think everyone is feeling a little harried.  tired.  stressed.  whew, remember to breathe.  also my little camera i use all the time has been on the fritz since i got back from hawaii.  the battery wouldn't hold a charge so i bought a new charger and a new battery and it's still saying there's no battery charge!  ugh!

i was busy at work today, palmer still missed me erica said but he's been taking nice naps for her so that's good.  i have class tomorrow too, whew. . . maybe i should take a bath.  i've got a bit of a sore throat tonight.  

first class was good thought tues night.  art theory and criticism isn't going to be as tough as i thought it might.  lots of reading but that's ok.

oh and palmer can just take down the gates now.  he reaches over and lifts the lever and picks it up and moves it.  he's too smart!

then i was getting ready for work today and he was in the bathroom and i looked over and he had the plunger in his mouth!  i was mortified and horrified and felt like the worst mama. . . reminds me i gotta put that in the laundry room!  ew!  i hope he doesn't get some terrible disease!
