dinner and the toy store

we went out to eat at mezcal last weekend. . . it was still kind of stressful with the little guy!

i went to kazoo and co with palmer yesterday to pick up some other birthday gifts. got him a little train set and some curious george books. he had a lot of fun in there playing with all the cars!

i took a nap with palmer today and it was violent, do you know what i mean? i slept so hard! i still feel kind of out of it. palmer's had a runny nose and i went to hot yoga last night and i think i got some serious toxins out. i woke up with a crazy dream and had a crazy dream during my nap too!

went and checked out highland home preschool today that sarah and joel and henry use. . . hopefully palmer can go there on mondays at least so i can run around paperwork. thinking maybe doing two 1/2 days a week, so i have one other day to get work done. she said she might be interested in trading some too so that would be awesome. there's a methodist preschool up right by here but they don't take kids until 2 1/2 so hopefully i can get him into that one in 6 months, just because it's closer. i think he will like it but still have guilt about doing it. i love haning with him so much, but having some time to work on business stuff will be good!

i got palmer a pack of cars for his birthday since his supply was getting low. unfortunately he saw the package and wanted it so kiko gave it to him. it's been loads of fun!

fantastic fun friday

this was yesterday we ran by fantastic fun to see if it would be a good place for palmer's birthday party. i think so. . . it's a little tired but i think the kids would have fun overload there. . . gotta send out some invites.
this morning we ran to the children's museum. i'm kicking myself that i left his painting there drying!

i think palmer's going to get a train set for his birthday. he loves it, oh wow, train, oh wow, truck. choo choo, ya. i should have remembered when asked what to get him. anything with a track, a car track, a train track. oh and puzzles!

went for a run and palmer played at the park and then played a little in the back yard. a video of palmer splashing in a puddle. . . i should have really stopped him because his little feet were cold and hurt on the run home!

zoo and stuff

i have to admit i have mixed feelings about the zoo. it's kind of sad sometimes but the animals are there and palmer enjoyed it much more this time than when we were in DC, so i got a membership (thanks grandma and grandpa woelfel. . . i used part of palmer's birthday money so we can enjoy it year round. with this and the children's museum we're going to have one smart kiddo!)

we met sarah and henry. it's been 30 degrees below normal here in around 45! so it was quiet at the zoo! we had a lot of fun!

he got a baby bear and a bigger bear and hugged them together and said, "cuggle", the joint word of cuddle and snuggle. then he called kiko, "kiko bear".
