made it

aloha! we are safe and sound in kapa'a kauai hawaii. thanks for all the prayers we had as great as can be expected plane ride out here. i'm still decompressing (i guess we all are) but palmer slept the whole trip from denver to seattle almost and part of the ride from seattle to lihue. thank god! we are settled in and sorry i won't have pictures on till i get back on the 8th but palmer loves the ocean! of course he has no fear and heads in like a baywatch life guard. same thing in the pool, he thinks he can swim!

getting ready

i had a fairly productive day.  i got the house all cleaned and went and bought another swimsuit at west side sinners.  it's pretty cute, black pin up style.

looks like the stars might align and we'll all get off the mainland on christmas day.  keep your fingers crossed!

kiko says we got ourselves a natural born boxer. . . he's a pretty cute little boxer anyway.  i got all A's this semester!  woo hoo!  i thought i should but you never know if you bomb a final or not!  

gotta try and get a few more little things for the plane ride, some food stuff.  i'm all packed except for toiletries.  eek. . . i'm still pretty nervous for the plane ride.  i just keep praying there is an empty seat we can have and everyone is charmed by how cute palmer is.  that it's a good day and i remember to bring everything i need.

we finally got to the post office to get out all our xmas cards and packages.  they should be there before xmas still but if not, i did my best.  i just couldn't do it alone, it was too much to carry with palmer.  i don't know what's going on with our mail but this last month we didn't get 5 bills?!?!  i'm hoping everything makes it where it's supposed to this year.

wow

i've been slacking on blogging.  i found a woman to watch palmer on fridays so i can take the expressive art therapy class!  it is reasonable and she is great.  she has a 15 month old son too, so hopefully he and palmer will become buddys and palmer won't bite, scratch or push him too much.  she is bi-lingual and does as much educational stuff as possible.  she is licensed too and has a someone from the state work with her on food to make sure she's serving nutritional stuff.  i feel as confident as i can about leaving my sweet little pumpkin with someone.  when we get back from hawaii kiko is going to go with me over to meet her and see her house.  right now it will just be her son diago and palmer, so he'll get some good buddy and one on one time too.  i feel good about it and having time to maybe go to a yoga class or get my hair cut or go to the library or run errands or go shopping or anything!  i am glad to have found her.

just getting ready for hawaii trying to make sure i have everything i can think of to make it as smooth a journey as possible.  i'm praying the weather in the northwest lets  my folks out on time and easy safe travels for us all.  i guess denver should be ok on christmas day so that's good.  well just keep our fingers crossed.

no school? what now!

book babies at the central library.  he wouldn't nap very well last week so i thought if i tired him out at book babies he would take a good nap.  nope, he fell asleep in the car and wouldn't go back down.  ugh!

went to the park saturday after my final to enjoy the calm before the storm.  it was like 55 then yesterday record lows and snow!

i think palmer has a little cold.  his nose is all runny today.  i was going to run some errands but he was having none of it.  he's quite grumpy today and just picking up whole foods paper work was enough.  of course he fell asleep on the way home and won't go down now.  ugh!

we woke up to a beautiful cold snowy morning.  i had to go to work but it was fruitful and i was glad i did!  making chili and watching football now. . .

palmer was so sweet and nice today. . . exact opposite of yesterday, he was a grump-amongus.  still working on the 2 bottom molars.  ouchy.  he gives kisses now, when he feels like it.  so sweet.  and he says, "whasss tha. . . ?"  

finished my final, only one more on saturday then i'm DONE for the semester.  i felt a little sad tonight. . . i don't know why.  i love the pain of stretching my brain.
