oh one more thing

the thing that bothers me most is when i pick palmer up he smells different.  not bad or anything just like erica and her house.  it's just weird.

time flickering by

man, this week just flew by.  so palmer did better at erica's today.  he cried when i left but he wasn't crying when i got back.  he also didn't cling to me when i got there.  whew. . .  he even napped for an hour and a half!  today i brought our pack and play so she could set it up for him. . . i don't use it here so that works.

james did my hair today. it's cute, these pictures don't really do it justice.  then i went to savers and goodwill and i got a bunch of clothes for palmer 2T and up.  i realized i should have sent mara all the 18 month stuff i have because it doesn't fit palmer and a lot of the 24 month stuff doesn't either!  eek.  and i went to ross and got myself 3 new yoga tops.

so he went right to sleep last night when we got home and he woke up at 6:15 ate and went back down until 9:15, and he took a little nap when we got home!  he must be growing. . . 

looking forward to weekend.  i'm trying to live in the moment and relish them so time won't just trickle past without me being there, ya know what i mean?

a year ago today

i did this yesterday but i couldn't get the video to post. . . 

so i didn't get any pictures taken today so i went back through the archives at a year ago today and came upon this little gem of a video. i laughed till i cried. i don't know if i ever watched this one. . . oh goodness. how funny.

anyway, so this morning palmer was playing with my keys. . . . then i'm trying to get everything set up to head over to erica's and i can't find my keys. no big deal grab the spare keys and head out the door. well he had been sucking on them and had hit my keyless remote alarm button so my alarm was going off!

what a mess. anyway, when i dropped palmer off he stood at the door crying "ma ma, ma ma". it near broke my heart but what are you going to do! i left the poor little bub and went to work. it was slow. i gotta figure out what's going on over at creek.

erica said palmer had a tough day. he didn't nap and was asleep on the way home and straight to bed no bath or anything! she said he was fine if she was holding him.

tomorrow since i don't have school yet i'm going to get my hair did with james and then i think i'll go to the few thrift stores by his beauty school for 2 and 3 T clothes and then pick him up. i miss him. i know i gotta cut the cord but slow and steady wins the race and letting him get aquanted with the new enviroment has to be good for us both!

palmer has been swimming in the bath tub. . . he misses the pool!  he get so excited for bath time. . . . he says ba. . . ba. . .

welcome back.  i'd rather have snow though than creepy 60 degree weather.

he is doing the sign for bird here, some geese flew over.  he inverts it but i know what he's talking about.  he got 2 new signs in hawaii bird and help.  and says banana and pretty.  it sounds like he's picking up all sorts of new words!

well back to the grind for real.  ugh!  of course we have 4 inches of snow this morning!  palmer has been sleeping in until 9!  i guess that's 6 kauai time, which was when he was waking up there but he's been going to bed at regular ol' colorado time 7 pm.  maybe he learned to love sleep in hawaii, or maybe he's just catching back up after our long travels. 

palmer is already missing kiko.  he keeps saying "dada", like where is my dad?!  so sweet.

so palmer is starting his child care this week!  i'm going to work thrusdays 1:30 to 5 and erica is going to watch him and also on fridays.  i don't have class this week but i figure i'll go to yoga and go buy books.  hmmm. . . i also need to start working on my 1099's.  eek.  how i dread it.

oh, i might have the opportunity to get some more whole foods stores?!  it would be nice to make some more money obviously but then i have to deal with more flakey massage therapists.  we shall see.  actually i need to call one of the stores and talk to the manager.  send some love.
