just a few

here is palmer looking out the back door at kiko cooking some dinner on the BBQ. he is so mobile now, he doesn't like being in his little play gyms anymore. i need to look into selling a few i guess. and handing some down.

i got a really good book at the library. i was looking for ferber's book because we are trying to figure out how to get mr. palmer sioux to sleep through the night. i couldn't find ferber's book but i did come across a book called the baby whisperer solves all your problems by tracy hogg. i know it sounds a little woo woo but it is a very interesting book. kiko even likes it. she takes a middle of the road way to teach babies how to sleep vs. the cry it out (ferber) method. there is also a very interesting chapter on emotions and how to parent to your babies temperament. palmer is a spirited baby. i think he has been waking up more because he is hungry than anything else. she also talks about potty training which she has a different view than traditional american thought. she sets up a plan for dealing with sleeping and potty training that really make sense on a lot of levels to me. i'm going to get her book from amazon and the one for toddlers too. it's hard when you know you should be working towards something and don't know how, so it's nice to have a game plan that makes sense.

we're getting excited about our vacation to pagosa springs next week, which is in the south western corner of colorado. we get to go to mesa verde and the sand dunes. really looking forward to it! kiko's friend chris is going to be in town and house sit for us so i'm glad that someone will be watching the cat and the house.
