park hill and beyond

here are some pictures of our walk in park hill the other day. i had no idea the houses got so big on 23rd street. i had only ventured as far as 26th! i was doing some research about what i want to do in the front of our yard. i want to just put some rocks in and maybe some succulants (sp?). maybe some beautiful russian sage and other colorado friendly plants. i'm all about zero scaping. it's amazing how nice our grass looks after 2 days of rain. i had almost lost all hope and now i'm back to weeding it! kiko and i are dreaming of expanding the back patio a little bit to cut down on the grass and create a little more space for BBQ's as you know we love entertaining, though we haven't been doing much of that at late.

anyway i love looking at houses when walk. it makes it so much more interesting. i've a wealth of new neighborhood to enjoy. i've been up and down every street in north city park so i'm excited to explore and look at the houses on the other side of colorado. there are so many beautiful old homes. there was a really beautiful church, i took a picture of. it has a really neat court yard area in the middle. my pictures of the houses are kind of sly i didn't want to look like a creep taking pictures of people's houses.

and of couse some pictures of my sweet little boy! he was so grumpy i took him for that walk and he was still grumpy on the walk. today he took two long naps! so he was in much better sprits. some times this kid just does not want to miss a thing. there's a picture of him with kiko's flip flop which he has been pulling out the little tab on the bottom that holds the straps down and sucking on it! kiko says, "that 's the last thing you should be sucking on" he's such a boy.

succulents are the way to go i tell ya. i pulled some out of the back yard and replanted them in the front...and they're growin' strong- maybe cause the rain?!
