so palmer's massive growing has slowed a bit he's only 25# 15oz (80%) and 32 1/4 inches (94%). i swear he lost weight last week when he was sick, because he wasn't eating much. he's healthy and he seems fine after all his shots. i really just read so much about shots that i don't have a good feeling about them. besides polio everything i read about all the diseases shots are given for are not life threatening, only in the smallest cases, put shots are also life threatening in the smallest number of cases. it is just counter intuitive for me to give palmer so many shots. i held off on the chicken pox for now so he got 4 shots yesterday and 2 of those were 3 things. doesn't that seem like so much? especially after watching the origin of aids. people make mistakes and doctors are not gods, i cannot listen to them like they know better than me. my argument is they may all be safe but you wouldn't give your child peanuts, eggs and dairy all on the same day, it seems like you really shouldn't give kids so many shots they have never had at once, just in case there is a reaction to one. they would never know which one it was.

I obviously don't have children; but I try to read up as much as I can about the whole immunization jazz. I also find it rather peculiar they just come up with these shots to be giving small children, and tons of them. It is a catch-22. I just don't see how we could have been surviving for so long without this many immunizations, but they just keep adding up to something new all the time. Really, why? Of course to have to watch your child go through the misery of some of those illnesses is horrific in its own right. It's baffling, really.
